The stems develop a beautiful pinkish tint to them and as the plant is exposed to more light, the leaves develop a deeper greenish\/maroon coloration. The Pellionia repens is easy to care for houseplant and looks great in a pot or hanging basket. It also does well in container gardens. It prefers bright, indirect light and moist (not wet) soil.<\/p>\n<p>The Pellionia repens &#8211; Trailing Watermelon Begonia makes a great houseplant and looks terrific in a pot or hanging basket. The stems will cascade down over the pot or hanging basket it is planted in, and the foliage will get thick and full.
